Oppo has been working to release 5G smartphones at affordable prices and so far they have been successful. The Oppo A54 5G is one of those smartphones that Oppo is looking to make affordable but with 5G connectivity. The company will officially launch the phone in June 2021 and therefore the prices have not been announced. However, being an affordable 5G smartphone, it might retail for approximately USD 229.

Japanese AU Kiddi has listed the Oppo A54 5G specifications. The Oppo A54 5G has a 6.5 inches display. The display is an IPS LCD panel with a 1080 x 2400 screen resolution and sports a punch-hole design with almost bezel-less edges. This gives the display a FULL HD+ resolution. The phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset which has up to 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. However, there might be a 128 GB variant as 64 GB of internal storage is not enough according to today’s standards. If you get the 64 GB variant you can expand your storage using a memory card as the Oppo A54 5G has a dedicated memory card slot.

Oppo A54 5G cameras

The back of the Oppo A54 5G is very smooth as the fingerprint scanner is side-mounted. The camera module is rectangular shaped and houses 4 cameras. It has a 48 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide camera, a 2 MP macro camera, and a 2 MP depth sensor. A camera combination which has become very common in modern smartphone probably because it has all camera types. The selfie camera is standard is it is just a 16 MP camera placed at the top left corner of the display in a punch-hole cutout.

The Oppo A54 5G has a 5000 mAh battery. It supports 18W fast charging which reduces the charging periods. Charging is done via a USB Type-C port located at the bottom of the phone.

Other features of the Oppo A54 5G include a 3.5 mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, FM Radio, dual nano-SIM slots, and a compass.
