
The Huawei Mate X2 is the latest foldable phone in the market and it has proven to be a force to reckon with after it proved to be the better smartphone on our last comparison with the Galaxy Fold 2. In this post, we do a side-by-side comparison of the Huawei Mate X2 vs Royole Flexpai 2. Although the Mate X2 would have an obvious advantage as it was recently released, the Flexpai 2 is also not that old and there isn’t any harm in finding out which is the better device.

Mate X2 vs FlexPai 2 Key Differences

- Display size – The Mate X2 sports a considerably bigger display at 8.01 inches whereas the FlexPai 2 has a smaller 7.8 inches display. However, both are foldable OLED panels.
- Resolution – The Mate X2 has a QHD+ display at 2200 x 2480 screen resolution which is amazing considering the massive size of the display. On the other hand, the FlexPai 2 has a 4K panel at 1920 x 1440.
- Chipset – The Kirin 9000 which comes with the Huawei Mate X2 is by far the best chipset you can get on a smartphone. On geekbench, the Kirin 9000 showed a 9.8% advantage over the Snapdragon 865 which ships with the FlexPai 2. This means you get more performance in gaming and other tasks on the Mate X2 compared to the FlexPai 2.
- RAM – Although both devices are available with up to 12 GB of RAM, the FlexPai 2 offers an option for 8 GB of RAM which is helpful in case you’re can’t afford to get the 12 GB RAM. However, the Mate X2 is only available with 12 GB of RAM.
- Internal Storage – Just like the RAM, the FlexPai 2 comes with an option for 256 GB of internal storage whereas the Mate X2 doesn’t.
- Cameras – The camera combination on both devices is almost similar except the FlexPai 2 main rear camera has higher megapixels (64 MP) compared to the Mate X2 (50 MP). This brings it down to personal taste. As other factors would affect the camera performance apart from the megapixel count.
- Battery – In this section, the Royole FlexPai 2 wins by a slight margin as it has 50 mAh more than its battery capacity.
- Fast Charging – The Huawei Mate X2 has more than triple fast charging support when compared to the Royole FlexPai 2. It would be really unfair to compare the 2 when it comes to this part as there’s an obvious winner.
