Samsung will officially launch the Samsung Galaxy M62 on March 3 and it’s going to be an addition to the Galaxy M series which is known for its huge batteries. The price of the Galaxy M62 will be around $428 which is equivalent to Rs. 30,999. The new Galaxy M62 features similar specifications to the Galaxy M51, launched in September 2020, but with a much more powerful chipset. The Exynos chipset on the Galaxy M2 offers up to 17.63% faster CPU speed and 227 MHz higher RAM speed which means it will perform better in all tasks.
The Samsung Galaxy M62 has a 6.7 inches display. The display is a Super AMOLED Plus panel which offers a FULL HD+,(1080 x 2400), screen resolution with HDR10+ support. As seen from the image at the start of this article, the display on the Galaxy M62 is an almost bezel-less screen as it is very close to the edge especially on the left and right sides. At the bottom, there is no notch but at the bottom, it has a very thin chin that is barely noticeable during usage.
The phone runs on an Exynos 9825 SoC chipset which as I had mentioned earlier has a higher CPU speed and RAM speed compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G meaning it is a decent processor. It has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage with a memory card slot that can read memory cards of up to 1 TB just in case you want to expand your storage. The phone is also installed with the latest Android 11 version and the Samsung One UI launcher.
The Galaxy M62 has a total of 4 cameras at the back. It has a 64 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultrawide camera, a 5 MP macro camera, and a 5 MP depth sensor. Again this is similar to the Galaxy M51. For the selfie camera, the phone uses a 32 MP camera at the top center of the punch-hole display.
Just like the previous Galaxy M Series smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy M62 has a big battery. It has a 7000 mAh battery which supports 25W fast charging. The charging is done through a USB Type-C port at the bottom of the phone which is also used for data transfer when using a computer.
Other specifications include 4G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, a fingerprint sensor, an ambient light sensor, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The Samsung Galaxy M62 is an all-round perfect smartphone. It has a big FULL HD+ display which is perfect for gaming and watching videos. It also has a fast processor with more than enough RAM and storage which means performance-wise it can get the work done. All this is then backed up by the huge battery capacity which means you can use it for long hours without needing to recharge. If you have the means or the option to get it, I wouldn’t advise otherwise. However, if you’re looking to upgrade from the Galaxy M51 to the Galaxy M62, the only extra thing you will get is a boost in performance.
