The Huawei Mate 40E is the new addition to the Huawei Mate 40 series. The phone which is yet to be launched is a 5G device and from images leaked around the web, the phone is no different from the Huawei Mate 40 Pro in terms of the design. This Mate 40E design has been confirmed after a device believed to be the Mate 40E was spotted on the Wireless Power Consortium database, and TENAA listing spotting the same looks like the Mate 40 Pro.

As the device has not yet been officially by Huawei, the exact launch date or the price of the Huawei Mate 40E has not been made public. However, you can expect the device in 2021. That is the best guess we can make.

Huawei Mate 40E Specs and Features Overview

The Huawei Mate 40E will feature a 6.5 inches OLED FULL HD+ display with a punch hole at the top left corner which houses the selfie camera. The display offers a 90 Hz screen refresh rate for a smoother scrolling experience. It also features a curved display similar to that on the Huawei Mate 40 Pro. The phone will be powered by a Kirin 990 5G or a Kirin 990E 5G chipset with a 2.86 GHz base frequency, as hinted by notebookcheck.

The phone will be available in 3 variants. A 6GB RAM + 128 GB, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB and a 12 GB RAM + 256 GB model. At the back, the phone sports a triple-camera setup with a 50 MP main sensor. At the front, the phone has a 13 MP selfie camera. For the battery, the Mate 40E is powered by a 4100 mAh battery with fast charging support.

Other features include 5G connectivity, in-display fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, NFC, Dual SIM, 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB Type-C.
