The Motorola One 5G has been officially announced. The 5G device was announced by the company on 31 August 2020. According to Motorola, the phone which is expected to be made available soon will go for less than $500 which is equivalent to 418 Euros in the UK and Rs. 36,483 in India. This has led the Apple iPhone SE’s critics to shift their preference to the Moto One 5G. If the company succeeds in making the device available for under $500, it will make the Motorola One 5G the cheapest 5G smartphone available in the United States.

Motorola One 5G Specifications & Features
Display
The Motorola One 5G sports a 6.7 inches IPS LCD display Full HD+ display. The display has a 1080 x 2520 screen resolution and a pixel density of 409 PPI. It offers a 90 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ supports, and a 21:9 Aspect ratio. The fact that it comes with an IPS LCD display instead of an AMOLED or OLED panel means that blacks won’t be that deep and sharpness might be a bit on the low-end.
Software and Hardware
The One 5G runs on Android 10 out of the box paired with the MY UX launcher. The phone is powered by a 5G capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G Soc chipset. The chipset is in-expensive and comes with an Octa-Core Kyro 475 Gold CPU and the Adreno 620 GPU. This combination makes it a perfect budget gaming phone as the Adreno 620 GPU offers over 10% faster graphics rendering compared to the standard Snapdragon 765.
Memory
The Motorola One 5G is only available in 1 variant. The phone is available in a 4 GB RAM + 128 GB variant only. However, it has a dedicated MicroSDXC slot which can supports memory cards of up to 1 TB.
Cameras
At the back, the Motorola One 5G sports a quad camera setup. The cameras are located at the top left corner of the back cover in a rectangular camera module. The setup has a 48 MP main camera + 8 MP ultrawide snapper + 5 MP macro shooter + 2 MP depth sensor. Next to the camera module, you get a dual-LED strip.
At the front, the phone packs a dual selfie camera setup. It has a 16 MP main selfie camera + 8 MP ultrawide selfie camera. The two cameras can be spotted at the top left corner of the display as it sports the punch hole design.
Battery
The phone comes with a sizeable battery too. It draws power from a 5000 mAh battery with a 20W fast charging capability. It also comes with a USB Type-C for faster data transfer and charging.
