The OnePlus 8T render was recently leaked on twitter by a tipster known as @smartvenkat95. The phone codenamed ‘kabob’ is expected to be launched soon as OnePlus is known to upgrade its devices around the middle of the year. However, no leaks have come up about the price range of the device.
The OnePlus 8T is expected to feature a design never seen before on a OnePlus phone. This just makes us more curious about what the company has in store for its fans. From the leaked renders of the OnePlus 8T, we see a device with very thin bezels on the sides of the display. It has no notch at the top or at the bottom. However, you can clearly see the selfie camera which is placed at the top left corner of the display since the phone sports the punch hole design.
OnePlus 8T Specs and Benchmark Scores
According to the specs of the OnePlus 8T made available by Android Central, the OnePlus 8T has received several upgrades to its hardware. The device had been spotted on geekbench as the KB2001. The phone scored a total of 912 on single-core tests. For multicore tests, the device scored a total of 3288 points. This is just slightly higher than what the OnePlus 8 scored as the phone made it to 901 points on single-core tests and 3301 points on multicore tests.
Specifications and Features
The OnePlus 8T sports a 6.55 inches FULL HD+ AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display is almost bezel-less and features the punch hole design for the front camera. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset which comes with an Octa-Core (Kyro 585) CPU and the Adreno 650 GPU. The CPU offers a 10% performance boost compared to the Snapdragon 865. This also applies to the GPU which makes it a perfect choice for gamers.
It will run Android 11 out of the box alongside the OxygenOS 11 launcher. The phone is available in different memory combinations. However, as of now we only know that the phone has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
At the back, the OnePlus 8T sports a quad-camera setup. The setup has a 48 MP main camera + 16 MP ultrawide snapper + 5 MP macro shooter + 2 MP depth sensor. At the front, the phone utilizes a single selfie camera but no information has been revealed about its size.
As for the battery capacity, no information or leak has been available. However, the expectation is that it will be bigger than the 4300 mAh battery on the OnePlus 8. Probably a 4500 mAh battery.
As the OnePlus 8T will be powered by a Snapdragon 865+, you can expect it to be a 5G phone. The chipset also comes with cool features like the Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, Desktop Forward Rendering, Qualcomm Game Color Plus v2.0, and Qualcomm Game Smoother for a better gaming experience.
