The Motorola Moto G9 Play specs were first spotted on geekbench. The entry-level smartphone is expected to be the Motorola Moto G8 successor which was launched in March 2020. The Moto G9 is obviously expected to pack a more powerful Snapdragon processor compared to the Snapdragon 665 on the Moto G8.

The Motorola Moto G9 Play will sport a 6.3 inches IPS LCD display with a 720 x 1520 screen resolution. The display will offer a 19:9 screen ratio and will have a total pixel density of 271 pixels per inch. However, this has not yet been confirmed.
Software & Hardware
It has been confirmed that the Moto G9 Play runs on the Android 10, unlike the Moto G8 Power Lite. As per geekbench publication, the Moto G9 Play runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset codenamed ‘guamp’, with a 1.8 GHz base frequency and an Octa-core CPU.

The smartphone will come with 4 GB of RAM + 128 GB of internal storage which is a major upgrade compared to the Moto G8 Play launched back in 2019.
As the Moto G9 Play will be getting a processor and RAM upgrade, it’s also expected that the cameras will be better. The rumored camera combination of the rear camera is a 13 MP main camera + 5 MP + 2MP. At the front, the phone might sport an 8 MP shooter.
Not much is known about the battery size on the Motorola Moto G9 Play, but the best guess would be a 4000 mAh battery.
