The Realme 6i was launched on 24th July 2020 in India whereas the OnePlus Nord was launched on 21st July 2020. The two mid-range smartphones were launched between days of each other. The OnePlus has been hyped all over social media with everyone looking forward to its launch while the Realme 6i has been considered to be an affordable mid-range smartphone and to be honest, it packs some really good specs.
However, the fact that the OnePlus Nord 5G includes 5G connectivity might make it seem much better. The two devices have various similarities and differences which are all stated in this comparison review.

Realme 6i(india) vs OnePlus Nord 5G;
The Realme 6i sports a 6.5 inches IPS LCD display with a 1080 x 2400 screen resolution. The display on the Realme 6i also features a 90Hz refresh rate and pixel density of 405 pixels per inch. The phone has an 84.1% screen to body ratio and also includes the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen protection.
On the other hand, the OnePlus sports a smaller 6.44 inches Fluid AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2400 screen resolution. The OnePlus Nord also features a 90Hz refresh rate display and a pixel density of 408 PPI. The smartphone has an 86.7 screen to body ratio and it features the stronger Corning Gorilla Glass 5 screen protection.
Sofware & Hardware
The Realme 6i runs on Android 10 out of the box paired with the Realme UI launcher. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G90 T chipset and an Octa-core CPU with 2×2.05 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6X2.0GHz Cortex-A55. For the graphics processor, the Realme 6i utilizes the Mali-G76 MC4 GPU.
The OnePlus also runs on Android 10 out of the box and the very well optimized OxygenOS 10.0. The phone is also powered by the much preferred Snapdragon chipset. The OnePlus Nord is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G that comes with an Octa-core CPU with 1×2.4 GHz Kyro 475 Prime & 1×2.2 GHz Kyro 475 Gold & 6×1.8 GHz Kyro 475 Silver processors. The OnePlus Nord also utilizes the Adreno 620 graphics processor.
Realme 6i ships in 2 models in regard to memory. There’s a 4GB RAM + 64 GB model and a 6 GB RAM + 64GB model. The phone also has a dedicated MicroSD slot so there’s no need to sacrifice one SIM card slot for that.
On the other hand, the OnePlus Nord ships with more RAM, internal storage, and different variants too. The OnePlus Nord comes in a 6GB RAM + 64GB model, 8GB RAM + 128GB model and the 12 GB RAM + 256GB model. However, there’s isn’t a dedicated MicroSD slot and it’s quite obvious why. The phone has plenty of storage for anything.
Realme 6i sports a quad-camera setup at the rear. The setup includes a 48 MP main camera + 8 MP ultrawide lens + 2 MP macro shooter and a 2 MP depth sensor. There’s also an LED flash between the lenses. The camera can record videos at 4K@30fps and 1080p@120fps/60fps and 30fps.
The OnePlus Nord also sports a quad-camera setup. The setup houses a 48 MP main camera +8 MP ultrawide lens, + 5 MP depth sensor + 2 MP macro shooter. There’s also a Dual-LED flash next to the camera module. The camera can record 4K videos at 30 fps and 1080p videos @30fps/60fps/120fps.
It’s fair to say the OnePlus Nord packs a better camera combinations compared to the Realme 6i.
At the front, the Realme 6i utilizes a single 16 MP shooter located at the top left side of the display. This is because the Realme 6i features the punch-hole display design for the front camera. The camera shoots 1080p videos at 30 fps.
Again, the OnePlus Nord packs a better camera combination for the front camera. The phone sports a dual-camera setup with a 32 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide lens. The OnePlus Nord selfie camera can shoot 4K videos@30fps/60fps and 1080p videos@30fps/60fps.
Realme 6i is powered by a 4300 mAh battery with a 30W fast charging capability. It uses the USB Type-C. The fast charging technology can charge the phone to a full battery in under 55 min(as advertised).
The Nord is powered by a 4115 mAh battery with a 30W fast charging capability. From the companies advertisement, the phone can charge from 0-70% in under 30 min.

For the Realme 6i, the 4GB + 64GB model goes for Rs. 12,999 in India, while the 6GB RAM + 64GB model goes for Rs. 14,999. On Amazon the 3GB RAM + 64GB model goes for $199 which is equivalent to Ksh 20,000.
The OnePlus Nord price India starts at Rs. 24,999. In the UK, the OnePlus debuted for 379 Pounds which is equivalent to $480 in the US and Ksh 49,000 in Kenya.
