The affordable mid-range Realme 6i was recently launched in India with a MediaTek chipset and at a fairly low price too. However, the phone had already been announced back in March 2020 in some countries. The Realme 6i is available in 2 colors only; Eclipse Black & Lunar White. The device doesn’t include 5G connectivity unlike most of the recently launched smartphones.
The recent launch of the Realme 6i mid-range smartphone has brought some competition to the OnePlus Nord which was recently launched, and the Samsung Galaxy M31s which is expected to launch by the end of July 2020. However, here are the full specifications of the affordable mid-range Realme 6i;
Realme 6i full specs;
The Realme 6i sports a 6.5 inches IPS LCD display with a 1080 x 2400 screen resolution. This leaves the display with a total pixel density of 405 pixels per inch. The smartphone has an 84.1% screen to body ratio as it also sports the punch hole design for the front camera. The Realme 6i also features a 90Hz refresh rate display which also includes the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen protection.
Again, Realme didn’t launch a smartphone with an AMOLED display, which i’m sure we’ll all waiting to see.
Software & Hardware
The phone runs on Android 10 out of the box paired with the Realme UI launcher. Under the hood, the Realme 6i is powered by a MediaTek Helio G90T SoC chipset which comes with an octa-core CPU and a Mali-G76 MC4 chipset. The MediaTek G90T chipset is the same that powers the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro which was also recently launched.
The Realme 6i comes in two models in regard to memory. There’s a 4GB RAM + 64GB model and a 6GB RAM + 64GB model. There’s also a dedicated MicroSDXC slot in case you’d like to expand your storage without having to sacrifice one SIM card slot.
The Realme 6i packs a really good set of cameras at the back. The smartphone sports a quad-camera setup at the back. The setup houses a 48MP main camera + 8 MP ultrawide lens + 2 MP macro shooter + 2 MP depth sensor. There’s also an LED flash for lighting up those low light areas or for night photography.
The camera can also shoot 4K videos at 30fps and 1080p videos at 30fps/60fps and 120fps.
At the front, the phone utilizes a single 16 MP shooter which is located at the top left side of the display. This is because the Realme 6i utilizes the punch-hole display design for the front camera. There is no front LED flash so night selfie will be a little hard to shoot. The front camera can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.
The Realme 6i is powered by a 4300 mAh battery with 30W fast charging capability. The phone comes with the USB Type-C which is really good. As per the Realme advertisement, the 30W fast charging capability can give you a full battery in under 55 min only.
