Cheap Samsung Galaxy Smartphones Under $18, Their Specifications and Prices.

Introduction

Samsung smartphones are known to offer quality when it comes to both design and performance. However, all this glamour comes a hefty price. Most of the Samsung smartphones available in the market go for a higher price compared to other android smartphones. This may discourage anyone who’s looking for a cheap Samsung smartphone.
However, some Samsung devices are actually cheaper and almost at a similar price range of other android smartphones. These devices don’t have the cool features on the more expensive versions, but they still offer fairly good quality and features at a cheap price. Here are some of Samsung smartphones which are actually cheap.

Cheap Samsung Smartphones

1.Samsung Galaxy A01 – $11

The Samsung Galaxy A01 was released in January 2019. The phone is your basic android smartphone except it has a modern look to it due to the notch display and the dual-camera setup.
The Galaxy A01 sports a 5.7 inches PLS TFT display with a 720 x 1520 screen resolution and a total f 301 pixels per inch. It runs on Android 10.0 out of the box which is pretty great since you won’t have to upgrade it anytime soon in terms of the Android version. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset, an Octa-core CPU and an Adreno 505 GPU.
With the memory, you get two choices. A 2 GB RAM + 16 GB of internal storage version and a 2 GB RAM + 32 GB of internal storage version. There’s also a dedicated micro-SDXC slot incase you want to use a memory card which I think you will need in case you go for the 16 GB of internal storage version.
At the rear, you get a dual-camera setup with a 13 MP main camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. There’s also an LED flash for low light conditions. At the front, you get a single 5 MP camera.
The Samsung Galaxy A01 draws power from a 3000 mAh battery with no fast charging capability. There’s also a MicroUSB 2.0 at the bottom instead of the USB-Type C.

2. Samsung Galaxy A10 – $12

The Samsung Galaxy A10 was released in March 2019. The phone offers pretty basic features on an android smartphone. Nothing fancy except for the waterdrop notch for the front camera.
The galaxy A10 sports a 6.2 inches IPS LCD display with a 720 x 1520 screen resolution. This leaves the display with a pixel density of 271 PPI. I told you it was basic features. It runs on Android 9.0 out of the box with an Exynos chipset, an Octa-core CPU, and a Mali-G71 MP2 GPU.
When it comes to memory, it has two versions; 2 GB RAM + 32 GB of internal storage and a 4 GB RAM + 32 GB of internal storage version.
At the back, it has a single 13 MP camera with a single LED flash. For the selfie camera, the phone utilizes a single 5 MP camera which is pretty low. So if you’re a selfie fan, I’d advise going against a smartphone with a 5 MP camera. It doesn’t look good.
The phone is powered by a 3400 mAh battery with no fast charging capability and with a MicroUSB 2.0.

3.Samsung Galaxy A10S – $13

The Samsung Galaxy A10S is pretty similar to the galaxy A10 but with the A10s you get some extra features.
The galaxy A10S sports a 6.2 inches PLS TFT display with a 720 x 1520 screen resolution. This leaves the display with a total pixel density of 271 PPI. It also runs on Android 9.0 which is upgradable to Android 10.0. It has a Mediatek MT6762 chipset, an Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and a PowerVR GE8320 GPU.
As for the memory, it’s pretty similar to the galaxy A10. The galaxy A10S ships in two versions; 2 GB RAM + 32GB and 3 GB RAM + 32 GB.
It has a dual-camera setup at the rear. The setup consists of a 13 MP main camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. An LED flash is also included in the setup. At the front, you get a single 8 MP shooter which is better than the one on the Galaxy A10.
The battery is also bigger. The galaxy A10 draws power from a 4000 mAh battery with no fast charging capability.

4. Samsung Galaxy A20 – $16

The Samsung Galaxy A20 was released in March 2019. It has a huge 6.4 inches SUPER AMOLED display with a 720 x 1560 screen resolution and a total of 268 pixels per inch. You also get the Corning  Gorilla Glass  3 screen protection which is perfect. It runs on Android 9.0 out of the box. It runs on an Exynos 7884 chipset, an Octa-core CPU, and a Mali-G71 MP2 GPU.
For the memory, there’s only one version. You get a 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. There’s also a dedicated microSDXC slot in case you want to expand your storage.
At the back, you get a dual-camera setup. The setup houses a 13 MP main camera and a 5 MP ultra-wide camera. At the front, there’s a single 8 MP camera.
The galaxy A20 draws power from a 4000 mAh battery with a 15W fast charging capability. You also get the fancy USB-Type C with it.

5.Samsung Galaxy A20S – $17

The Samsung Galaxy A20S was released in September 2019. With the A20S, you get a better design, bigger display, more memory size, and an extra camera.
The Galaxy A20S sports a 6.5 inches IPS LCD display with a 720 x 1560 screen resolution and a total of 264 pixels per inch. It runs on Android 9.0 out of the box which is upgradable to the latest Android 10.0. The Galaxy A20S runs on a Qualcomm SDM450 Snapdragon 450 chipset, an Octa-core CPU and an Adreno 506 GPU.
With the Galaxy A20S, you get an extra 32 GB of internal storage. There’s a 4 GB RAM + 64 GB version and a 3 GB RAM + 32 GB version. However, the 64 GB version comes at a higher price than the 32 GB version.
At the rear, you get a triple-camera setup with a 13 MP main camera, 8 MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 5 MP depth sensor. At the front, the galaxy A20S utilizes a single 8 MP shooter which is similar to the one on the Galaxy A20.
The phone is powered by a 4000 mAh battery with a 15W fast charging capability and it also comes with the USB-Type C.

6.Samsung Galaxy M11 – $15

The Samsung Galaxy M11 was released in May 2020 so it’s not that old. It is also the only smartphone in this list that sports the punch-hole display design for the front camera.
The Galaxy M11 has a 6.4 inches PLS TFT display with a 720 x 1560 screen resolution and a total of 268 pixels per inch. It runs on Android 10.0 out of the box. For the chipset, it utilizes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 and an Octa-core CPU. The phone also utilizes the Adreno 506 GPU.
There are two versions when it comes to memory. There’s a 3 GB RAM + 32 GB of internal storage and a 4 GB RAM + 64 GB of internal storage version.
At the rear, you get a triple camera setup with a 13 MP main camera + 5 MP ultra-wide camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. At the front, there’s a single 8 MP shooter which is located at the top left part of the smartphone. This is because of the punch-hole display design.
The phone is powered by a huge 5000 mAh battery with a 15W fast charging capability. You also get the USB-Type C with it. If you’re looking for a cheap Samsung smartphone with the best battery life, I think the Galaxy M11 should be your choice.

Conclusion

All the smartphones in this list are not that old and they come with the latest Android versions so you don’t have to worry about using an ancient android version full of bugs. Those with the Android 9.0 are also upgradable to the latest Android 10.0.
The phone’s in this list also come with a weak front camera so you might want to forget about high-quality selfies. A 5 MP camera won’t give any decent pictures. However, a memory size of 23 G will be enough for you and if you’re looking for a good battery life, the Galaxy M11 offers that.
Let us know us know what you think about this list and also any experience you’ve had with any of these smartphones.
